Great place to get some quick service done or an inspection indicating any problem with your euro. Be aware this company is a sub company of the main workshop right across the street named Lorentz Automotive. They have limited euro technicians which could increase wait times on your vehicle. They’re a great company and provide through advice and information on what they find.
I reached out German Autowerks to do diagnostics and repairs on my 2015 Audi A3. I had intermittent error codes and overheating issues. Frank got me in right away and he was able to determine what needed to done to resolve my issues. We had recently purchased the car and it was our first time to this shop for service. Frank and his team helped us get the car back in shape for driving. He did not try to sell me on lots of extra services but concentrated on the issues at hand. I appreciate him and the team and I plan on returning for my future service needs.
Conducted a search for ships that work on BMWs and Lorentz had great reviews. Was able to get my cat in quickly and out quickly. Shane was very personable and kind. Car was fixed quickly and driving much better. Still have some work to get done but it’s a great relief to know a great auto company for all my services.
Called the shop just now and asked if they could give me a ballpark on replacing my AC Compressor on my 2018 BMW 320i and the guy said I needed to bring it in and when I told me the car is not driveable right now because the battery is not being charged due to the Alternator Belt melting off. He said he was unable to give me a ballpark estimate without bringing it the car to the shop. So they expect me to tow the car in and pay for the tow and then possibly would have to tow it elsewhere. They will never get my business no matter what German car I continue to drive. Terrible customer service!
The place is very well organized. The people are professional. The only issue I had was, they didn’t do what they said.My car sit there a full day without being touched. The next day they said they get to it in the a.m.I expressed I needed a water pumpsIt ended up being a hose to the turbo which Krause repaired. The quote I got from third organization wanted to charge an extra $450 to replace the thermostat that’s connected to the water pump. They were the only ones doing that.Wasn’t a good look for me.I think they are a great outfit, I just think the guy I was dealing with needed a little more training.Oh, I was told I couldn’t get a price on replacing a water pump until I bring the key and filled out the info with my contact info.Nothing could be given over the phone. When I got there, he stated, I can give you a quote. Now that he has my name and address on paper. I asked why we couldn’t do this over the phone. No response. Just FYI, I had my car brought there on Sunday.
I had excellent service from all the employees at German Autoworks. They listen to my issues, kept me informed and followed up. They were easy to work with and had a fair estimate. Also, Knowledgeable about my car and timely with responses. I will be going to them again.
We want there to get our E92 M3 checked out for a PPI. Everyone was super friendly and went out of their way to help us and insure that we got a good deal on our hands. Their knowledge also didn’t come in very pricy, but rather affordable and hit a sweet spot for what you wanna pay for a PPI. Their expertise got us another 2.500$ off of the original price. I would definitely recommend this place. Very friendly people!
Did the work that I asked for and after a complete review of the car found a missing part left off by the tire dealer. They always do great work for us. FYI they repair American and Import cars.
My Audi TTS deserves the best. And now I wouldn’t take it anywhere else. After my warranty expired I had to find a good reputable service. These guys were recommended to me and now I’ve used them for years. THE BEST!!!
This is my favorite shop. Anything goes wrong I come here. 2010 Mercedes diesel gl350 which needs the love and care.Honest and caring guys.A few examples are that I had a dealer under warranty repair and they had 2 repairs they wanted at $4k each ($8k total) which German autowerks foudn the real root cause ($1300 total). So … worth it.
Extremely dishonest!! Never coming back or recommending to anyone. Tow my BMW X5 in because it cranked but wouldn’t start. My car stayed outside in the parking lot the entire time and when I went to pick it up, he told me it’s a computer problem but they didn’t take it in the garage to check. Didn’t have any diagnostics showing what the problem was. Just him telling me it’s computer problem and it’ll cost more to fix it than the car is valued. And charged me $194 for doing NOTHING on my car.
Very pleased with all aspects of German Autowerks! They got my Porsche Macan in quickly for some routine maintenance and some repairs and got it back to me sooner than originally estimated ! Frank was awesome from beginning to end. He made very comfortable by explaining everything and answering all my questions. I will be back!
Catherine the Jag is 100% better. Thank you. She runs awesome. No more engine light. 4 new coolant pipes, oil change (last year) and much more. 1 year Warranty. 🩷🚓 I do still need the stop start looked at. Not a biggie as it does not hinder anything so next time around thank you.
Today was my first visit to German Autowerks/Lorentz Automotive in Lewisville, TX for my Mini Cooper. Frank at the service desk was very friendly and professional. He was most helpful in explaining some future recommended services. I have already made an appointment.
Nice people, great service, quick work, and thorough diagnosis! These guys are great and honest mechanics that do you right. As a shade tree mechanic myself it’s nice to have a good mechanic that you can trust to complete some of the tasks that I just don’t have the equipment for. Highly recommend to anyone with a German auto.
My sons first European car, first time needing some work. I called & Frank didn’t hesitate for us to drop it off. He told me they would do a diagnostic, text us when the diagnostic is done. After that they would tell us the problem and do from there. He said depending if we needed parts, it probably wouldn’t be done until Tuesday. Well, we dropped it off today at 8am, received a text at 1:45pm, told us the problem when it would be ready and the cost. Thanks Frank for the transparency & customer service. My son is happy with his car & said he had a new shop for his car moving forward. Frank was also very informative with telling my son to be careful with his car since it’s a pretty Penny to fix….Thanks!!
I thought that the service was worth the four day wait. And to add on that i called around to see about a starter installation on my BMW 535i price point and they beat everyone by at least $300. Very professional and was even in communication with me on after hrs to help me get my vehicle to the shop. They my go to shop over BMW of Plano.
These guys i trust and use them as my Primary mechanics. Whenever my cars needs attention to keep it going i can count on them. They are very professional and courteous.
Mike, my Service Writer, was professional and kept me informed on the progress of my repairs. Above all they recommended work based on the information I supplied. One of the recommendations was not needed and they informed me of what they did to verify the work wasn’t needed.A friend recommended these guys to me and I will be doing the same.
Excellent and quick service. While waiting, they checked on me several times in the waiting area. Great explanation of services needed. I will definitely be coming back!
New to the area. Read the reviews on this place and decided to take my 2017 BMW X5 in for an oil change. Oil used was different from what I normally use but everything was explained and I was satisfied with the explanation. Service personnel were friendly and the oil change was fairly quick. I will use again.
I’ve taken my car to LA and GAW several times. Everyone has been very nice and helpful and they’ve always taken good care of my car. Everyone is very nice, helpful and honest.
I recently had the pleasure of doing business with Lorentz Automotive, and I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service I received. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere, and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. My car was in need of some repairs, and I was immediately put at ease by the expert advice and guidance I received from Frank, one of the technicians at the shop. He took the time to explain the issues to me in detail, and provided me with several options for repairs, along with accurate cost estimates.Throughout the repair process, Frank kept me informed every step of the way, providing regular updates and progress reports. When my car had to stay in the shop for a few days, he even offered me a loaner car to use, which was greatly appreciated. What really impressed me, however, was the level of care and attention that Frank and the team at Lorentz Automotive showed towards me as a customer. Frank went above and beyond to ensure that I was completely satisfied with the work that was done on my car, and even offered to drop me off at work and pick me up when the repairs were complete.Overall, I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Lorentz Automotive. The team there is clearly passionate about what they do, and their commitment to providing top-quality repairs and exceptional customer service is evident in everything they do. I highly recommend Lorentz Automotive to anyone in need of car repairs or maintenance – you won't be disappointed!
I brought in my 2014 VW GTI for AC service at 8:30 in the morning and had the car back at 4:30 pm the same day with the leak repaired and freon replenished. Works like a charm now. Mike Hidalgo with Lorentz automotive (parent company I assume) was my service advisor and he called me a few hours after car dropped off with a diagnosis off my problem, price quote and results of an inspection of my car recommending a few other minor issues to take care of. I had taken the car to a local VW dealer and was told to leave it there for 5-7 days before they would be able to diagnose my AC problem. I recommend taking your German vehicle here for excellent and prompt service!
Dropped my BMW off in the morning and was done about 3pm.Faster than the dealer would have been and $350 less. These guys are great..Took a little bit of the sting that my factor warranty had only expired 7k miles ago
Very friendly and reasonable price for an oil change. Did wait for over two hours(they looked busy) but their waiting room was very clean with drinks and snacks and a charging station for your phones! Definitely will come back but maybe just drop off our vehicles for an oil change besides waiting.
We have been bringing cars here since we were first referred back in 2016. They are honest, helpful, skilled and timely in their work. We moved further away and still take our cars here for all of our repair needs. Highly recommended!
The prices were fair and far lower than the BMW dealership. The work was done quickly and to my satisfaction. They have a great waiting room with snacks and drinks and the front desk is very friendly and knowledgeable. I will be sending my friends and family to them in the future
Extremely pleased. Use dealership before & had to go back 3 times. And, cost twice as much. Germanwerks will be our repair shop for our Audi from now on.
I got my 2008 VW New Beetle from Ewing Subaru of Plano on January 7, 2022. Everything was fine until the headlights went out less than two weeks later. Found out the dealership wouldn't work on it! Called German Autowerks and they had had me out of there same day. Don't recommend Ewing Subaru, but these guys have you covered for german cars.
These guys were very nice. I will say that I was a little disappointed that they did not let me know up front that they didn’t have the right tools to diagnose my Audi hybrid properly when I checked it in. They kept the car for two days, only to tell me they couldn’t find anything wrong and reset my light. Advised me to go to the dealer if it happened again. I guess that’s worth $160?
Were super nice, quick, professional, and had good prices for their services. They actually explain to you what is done to your car and gives a list of what needs to be done. They don’t rip you off like other car shops. Highly recommend!
Overall good experience. They are good at communicating with the customer at every stage of the repair. The work was done on time and they even picked me up and brought me to their shop to retrieve my car when the repair was complete.
Shane and his crew are great auto techs, they are also great people. They went above and beyond diagnosing my BMW fault codes and gave me several solutions. I am bringing all of my vehicles to them for their automotive needs.
Frank was great, very helpful and informative of what was being done to my VW. He gave me a ride home while they worked on it as it took longer than we had originally thought (after discovering some additional valid issues with the car). If you drive a Euro car, or any other kind, I highly recommend these folks.
Super helpful and quick! I have a 2019 CLA 250 and just cannot afford the dealership prices, German Autowerks is cheaper, MUCH BETTER SERVICE and who can argue a 5 star google review and growing? I will go here for all of my Mercedes needs from now on! Thank you all!! Great service will get my business and keep it forever because its priceless nowadays!
They are awesome and honest people. I had taken my car to 4 mechanics prior to coming to German Autwerks. None of them could figure out what was wrong with my car. I bring it to German Autowerks and the guys there had great customer service. They are thorough with their service and found out the issue. I highly recommend them. They will even tow your vehicle to their facility for a affordable fee. Great place, people and I will never take my car to another mechanic place.
Wow!!! Cant say enough great things about German Autowerks. All I expect is a business to do what they say and KEEP their word to the customer. The did that and more. GREAT PLACE
What an amazing find! We have a 2007 audi a4 that sporadically wouldn't start, but it runs perfectly otherwise. It had been hard to replicate and one other auto repair shop couldn't ID the issue. We found German Autowerks and are so very grateful. They persisted until finding two bad relays. This group is super knowledgeable, amazingly friendly, fast and the price was so reasonable. We’ll refer everyone we know.
